Fighting for a Greater Cause

BRYAN, TX - The second edition of Fight to Unite brought the stars of Lions Pride Sports together in competition against each other, but all for the community we call home.

Hundreds turned out to Edible Field, home of the Brazos Valley Bombers, in a benefit event for United Way of the Brazos Valley. On behalf of our promotion, we want to thank everyone for supporting UWBV in their mission to fight every day for the health, education and financial stability of everyone in the Brazos Valley.

In a rematch under very different circumstances from the 2022 edition of Fight to Unite, MIA FRIDAY retained the Lions Pride Sports Championship over MJ SANTANA. On this night, their match was rooted in a growing respect and appreciation for one another, though that did not lead to any holding back. Friday and Santana continue to elevate their games which has drawn them attention across Texas and beyond. The wrestlers would continue to show each other admiration following their epic encounter that saw Mia once again hold the gold.

The title tilt which closed out Fight to Unite ended with TRENT MERCER successfully defending the Lions Den Championship against his former best friend and tag partner-turned-advisary HOSTAGE HIRSCH in The Pride’s first coffin match. The contest took a drastic turn when Mercer’s girlfriend, having been haunted by Hirsch’s actions against Trent, took to the ring in defense of the champion. That turned the tide in the champ’s favor. Ultimately, a shot to Hirsch with the challenger’s trademark shovel allowed Mercer the opportunity to finish off Hostage, roll him into the coffin and close the lid.

In other action at Fight to Unite:

  • Pandemonium fell short in its latest attempt to decimate and dominate the Lions Pride Sports roster. In a chaotic six-man tag match, the make-shift team of HASTUR, ZANE VALERO and RODZILLA bonded in opposition to this new power in The Pride and emerged victorious over MATHAYUS, SHIMBASHI and PRINCE LY despite the interference of ringleader DEVON DEVILLE.

  • Members of the KBTX team served as managers for four tag teams competing in an over-the-top-rope battle royal ultimately won by the Party Train team of DRAKE DURDEN and CANNONBALL CARMICHAEL. CHAVY CHULO and TKO JOE were not on the same page from the start of the match, fighting with one another shortly after the bell. The Level X pairing of ZAE CARTER and JAK CALLOWAY put up a strong showing, but the final three in the match ended up being Durden and The Bad Boys of Wrestling duo of KOOL DADDI DENZELL and THE MOUNTAIN. KBTX’s Conner Beene was managing The Bad Boys, but tensions rose between them to the point where an eliminated Denzell tossed Beene into the ring and Mountain slammed him. Durden would exact revenge on behalf Beene, his colleagues Karla Castillo and Katie Aupperle, and Party Train’s manager Rusty Surette. Drake eliminated the 600-pounder and won the match for his side.

  • Lions Pride Sports stars and BOOKER T’S Reality of Wresting products JAY ALEXANDER and RYAN DAVIDSON put on a show of their own in a hard-hitting, power-packed singles bout. Alexander would come out on top in a bruising contest, defeating the former Lions Pride Sports Champion.
