The draw kept the title with Austin, but not only would Valero get another shot in Navasota, so would another of Zane's big rivals, Jay Alexander. Who would leave this three-way contest with the belt?

Zane Valero and Jay Alexander were the two who started the Aggieland Rumble match, and they were the two who outlasted 18 others. Ultimately, Valero knocked Alexander out to win and earn a title shot later that night, but Jay would get revenge by helping cost Zane his chance at gold. At Winter Warfare, the two would go toe-to-toe again, this time in a two-out-of-three falls match.

AGGIELAND RUMBLE MATCH

For the first time in two-and-a-half years, Lions Pride Sports held an Aggieland Rumble match. Twenty competitors would enter the ring over the course of the contest, with the last wrestler standing earning a championship match later in the night. Who would outlast 19 other hungry athletes and emerge victorious?

In the battle royal to open Clash at Caldwell 3, Shimbashi was one elimination away from earning a bye in the Lions Den Championship Invitational Tournament. Jay Alexander had other ideas for Shimbashi, interfering in the match and costing "The Canadian Dragon." Later in the night, the two would collide again.

Both Jay Alexander and Shimbashi have repeatedly shown why they're two of the top up-and-coming talents in Texas, but each lost big matches at the Lions Pride Sports show the month earlier. With each wrestler having scored a win over the other, the rubber match between Jay Alexander and Mathayus was set for April's Return of the Giant 2 event. However, Alexander injured Mathayus's shoulder before the opening bell. "The Headline" wasn't cleared to compete that night, but got revenge two weeks later in Downtown Bryan by costing Alexander his match that night. At Into the Fire 2, Alexander and Mathayus would finally have that third encounter, and with no disqualifications.
