Brown Retains, Archer Appears
MARCH 27, 2021 - Despite facing two of Texas’s top talents, “The King of Texas” is still on the Lions Pride Sports throne.
BARRETT BROWN retained the Lions Pride Sports Championship at King of the Pride, Part 2 against the man he defeated for the belt a month earlier, NOBE BRYANT, and former WWE Superstar RODNEY MACK. The three-way dance featured plenty of back and forth aggression and athleticism.
Mack appeared to be moments away from achieving his goal of making The Pride a part of his Dogg Pound when he had Bryant in the Blackout submission on the mat. However, Brown came off the top rope with a swanton bomb, crashing onto both men. “.50 Caliber” pinned Bryant before a stunned Mack could stop it.
Having successfully defended the championship in his first match with it, who’s next up to face the New Japan Pro Wrestling star?
The other major news coming out of KotP was the announcement that LANCE ARCHER is returning at our next event. The former Lions Pride Sports Champion and current All Elite Wrestling star made his presence felt in the aftermath of the match-up between DRAKE DURDEN and MIKE DELL.
With the leader of The Trifecta on the brink of defeat via a Durden chokeslam, CADE CARSON and CHAVY CHULO hit the ring to save their leader, causing a disqualification. Durden fought off the treacherous trio, only to see the Brazos Valley native Archer appear on the Lions Den video screens to challenge Drake to match on April 24. The Trifecta — led by Archer’s arch rival in The Pride, Dell — mocked a shocked Durden.
It will be a can’t miss contest between the original giant in the promotion and the current giant. Which former champion will stand tall April 24?

Following an epic encounter two weeks earlier at Friday Night Fight Night, Reality of Wrestling star JAY ALEXANDER evened the score against MATHAYUS in another high-impact match.
In her first appearance in Lions Pride Sports since September 2019, “The 19-Year Old Prodigy” ROK-C handed 15-year-old sensation MIA FRIDAY her first career loss. The former ROW Diamonds Champion showed the resilient Lions Den product plenty of respect after the match.
There was little respect shown by Carson and Chulo, who attacked ROW’s TOMMY BOLTON as “The Brute” was celebrating his birthday in the ring. THE MOUNTAIN came out for the save, and a tag team match was made. As expected, Trifecta shenanigans were in full effect, leading to their team’s win.
A gauntlet match between four Lions Den standouts ended with “OUTLAW” J. AUSTIN victorious. The match began with SHIMBASHI defeating KOOL DADDI DENZELL, then ZANE VALERO. With Austin out last courtesy of a random draw, a distraction by a frustrated Valero was ended by a Denzell cutter on the outside. The referee’s attention was away from the ring when “Outlaw” cracked Shimbashi with a cowbell and scored a pin fall on the impressive “Canadian Dragon.”
