The God of Fire Emerges

NAVASOTA, TX - A mysterious man has clearly made an impact on the Lions Den Champion, who retained his title in his first defense.

MATHAYUS put his belt on the line for the first time at a packed Western Club against the hometown favorite, THE MOUNTAIN. The 600-pounder from Grimes County hit power move after power move, which the champion somehow survived. A massive spear on Mathayus’s massive opponent was enough for him to pick up the victory.

In the middle of the match, a man in a suit and sunglasses came to ringside, which seemed to put Mathayus in a different, more intense mindset. While it can’t be confirmed, this may have been the same man who showed up during the first episode of Den Wars days prior to our Lash Out event in Navasota. Following the spear and the win by the champ, the man at ringside instructed Mathayus to continue the assault. Two more spears were hit in front of the stunned crowd. Commentator STEVE FULLHART tried to speak with Mathayus after the match, but the mystery man took the microphone and declared “The God of Fire” had arrived.

In other action at Lash Out:

  • A shot with his trademark chain with the referee down led to RODNEY MACK picking up a win over DRAKE DURDEN in a hard-hitting main event affair.

  • Speaking of hard-hitting, MIA FRIDAY and MJ SANTANA did battle in the first women’s street fight in Lions Pride Sports history. Despite being banned from ringside, Santana’s boyfriend SHIMBASHI returned to the ring and tried to hit Friday, but missed and hit himself after the foreign object rebounded off the top rope. Friday would kick the same camera Santana had used weeks earlier into MJ’s face, picking up the 1-2-3.

  • Shimbashi’s night wouldn’t get any better, and he was pinned following a scissor kick from NOBE BRYANT, who scored the win in a very even three-way contest involving ZANE VALERO.

  • MIKE DELL got a win back over his former Trifecta protege CHAVY CHULO courtesy of a One-Timer and a Dellbow.

  • Onslaught has its second straight win in tag team action, as HOSTAGE HIRSCH and TRENT MERCER once again defeated The Bad Boys of Wrestling, KOOL DADDI DENZELL and KEMONTE ROSS.
