Pandemonium Reigns
BRYAN, TX - For weeks, there had been signs of a strengthening union of some of Lions Pride Sports’ biggest stars. That union was not only cemented at Battle in Bryan 5, it showed an unrelenting, aggressive streak aimed at the entirety of the roster.
The chaos ensued in the aftermath of the main event title match. MIA FRIDAY retained the Lions Pride Sports Championship after the referee realized challenger PRINCE LY had used his gold chain to knock down the champion. Ly and his new manager and partner, DEVON DEVILLE and MATHAYUS, looked to make a statement post-match when MJ SANTANA rushed to defend Friday. After a long feud and recent championship match collisions, a respect between the two women had been developing.
Also in recent weeks, cracks had begun to show in The Power Couple, Santana and SHIMBASHI. Earlier at Battle in Bryan 5, the duo had won their tag match against SECURITY GUY and ZANE VALERO, but “The Canadian Dragon” clearly wanted more spotlight than his partner.
With MJ in the ring defending Mia later, Shimbashi rushed in, seemingly to stand by his girlfriend. Stunningly, he sided with his recently obtained allies, Ly, Mathayus and DeVille. Most of locker room emptied to fight back against this new group, only to be violently beaten down. Officials and a camera person were even assaulted. In the midst of everything, DeVille appropriately declared their foursome Pandemonium and promised more domination in Lions Pride Sports.
In other action at Battle in Bryan 5:
In his first defense of the Lions Den Championship, TRENT MERCER fought off the three competitors who answered his open challenge — CHAVY CHULO, JAK CALLOWAY and TKO JOE — to retain his title.
The Bad Boys of Wrestling have altered their own course, with KOOL DADDI DENZELL and THE MOUNTAIN dropping RODZILLA from their ranks following the Rod and Kool’s loss to CANNONBALL CARMICHAEL and his new friend, DRAKE DURDEN. Rodzilla was pinned in the tag match, and Denzell and Mountain beat down the third member of their team afterward.
Before putting Pandemonium into full effect, MATHAYUS scored a win over the rookie upstart ZAE CARTER.
The clash between two of The Pride’s darkest forces, HASTUR and HOSTAGE HIRSCH, ended in disqualification with Hirsch taking his trademark shovel to Hastur’s head. “The Coffin King’s” former partner and recent target, Mercer, rushed to the ring to face off with Hirsch, only for Hostage to flee yet again when faced with a two-on-one situation.
