Calloway Captures Rumble Win

BRYAN, TX - Thirty-one (yes, 31) of Texas’s top talents entered the 2024 edition of the Aggieland Rumble match. JAK CALLOWAY outlasted 30 and achieved the biggest win of his young career.

“The X Factor” was the 11th entry in the over-the-top rope elimination contest, the second longest tenure in the match. Calloway eliminated the entrant who lasted longest, TRENT MERCER to score the victory which gave him a title opportunity of his choosing. Post-match, he decided he would go after the Lions Pride Sports Championship.

PRINCE LY, looking to move forward in his career after months causing chaos with the now-defunct Pandemonium group, had won the chance to enter the match 30th. Ly thought like everyone in the packed Sam Rayburn Intermediate School gym that he was the final participant. Little did anyone know General Manager MJ SANTANA had an additional card to play. It was announced that Santana was allowing a 31st entrant: fellow former Pandemonium member MATHAYUS returning from injury. Going again by “The Headline” moniker, the powerhouse eliminated six consecutive wrestlers, finishing with his former partner Ly. Calloway and Mercer would get Mathayus out before the final sequence that led to Jak’s win.

Earlier in the night, both championship retained the titles in competitive contests. SHIMBASHI held off an outstanding effort by long-time rival ZANE VALERO to retain the biggest prize in The Pride, while HASTUR maintained control of the Lions Den Championship with a win over upstart DRE HENDRIXX. Shimbashi and Calloway, per Jak’s decision at night’s end, will fight at a later date.
