First Friday Hosts Fight Night Again

BRYAN, TX - Hundreds of participants in May’s First Friday in Downtown Bryan witnessed all the action and excitement of Lions Pride Sports, including a pair of successful title defenses.

ZANE VALERO and CHAVY CHULO retained the Lions Pride Sports Championship and Lions Den Championship, respectively, at Friday Night Fight Night from the courtyard of the historic LaSalle Hotel. It was each wrestler’s second defense since being crowned at March’s Fight to Unite.

Valero topped MATHAYUS despite rampant interference by “The God of Fire’s” manager, DEVON DEVILLE. “Gen-Z” even survived a spear from Mathayus before dodging his opponent and his manager and ultimately hitting a frog splash for the win.

Chulo outlasted “OUTLAW” J. AUSTIN to hold onto his gold. After their hard-hitting contest, Chavy offered Austin a handshake, a rare show of respect extended to “Outlaw,” and one the former Lions Pride Sports Championship considered accepting before ultimately leaving Chulo hanging.

In other action at Friday Night Fight Night:

  • MIA FRIDAY and DRAKE DURDEN joined forces in intergender tag team action, defeating the power couple of MJ SANTANA and SHIMBASHI. An M.I.A. to “The Canadian Dragon” put a stop to the dastardly duo’s cheating and the match as a whole.

  • HASTUR continued to show his dominance, but also put perseverance on display, entering third in a seven-wrestler gauntlet match and winning the contest. After getting past TKO JOE to open things, RODZILLA would fall to the man seeking “The Golden Sign.” Subsequently Rodzilla’s Bad Boys partner KOOL DADDI DENZELL, the Onslaught duo of HOSTAGE HIRSCH and TRENT MERCER, and, finally, THE MOUNTAIN would succumb to Hastur.
