Two Title Defenses and a Major Announcement
BRYAN, TX - Both champions in Lions Pride Sports held on to their titles against top opponents. A new contender for the biggest prize in The Pride was determined. And one of the world’s most famous wrestlers was announced for the biggest show in the promotion’s history.
Battle in Bryan 4 at S.O.S. Ministries in Bryan proved to be a remarkable night, one led off by “OUTLAW” J. AUSTIN retaining the Lions Pride Sports Championship over CHAVY CHULO. A low blow outside the view of the official proved to be the deciding factor after Chulo mounted an outstanding challenge to the champ. The next challenger for the title was determined in a three-way match, as ZANE VALERO survived an epic struggle with ALEX ARSENAL and SHIMBASHI to get another chance for the belt.
The night wrapped up with MATHAYUS continuing the first reign with the Lions Den Championship. TRENT MERCER raised his game to a new level in his attempt to take the title from the dominant champion, but a powerful new move called known as the Prometheus Effect grounded “Watchdog.” As “The God of Fire” looked to inflict more damage after the match, DRAKE DURDEN emerged to physically address his rival. A series of stars would follow from the locker room leading to a chaotic conclusion and a tense standoff.
The road to the biggest event in Lions Pride Sports history has gotten very tense, especially with All Elite Wrestling coach, scout and announcer MARK HENRY having been announced for Fight to Unite on March 26. “The World’s Strongest Man” is on his way as part of our event at the Brazos Valley Bombers’ Edible Field, with proceeds benefiting United Way of the Brazos Valley. In a submission match, MJ SANTANA didn’t make MIA FRIDAY tap out. That’s because Friday passed out in Santana’s hold, forcing the referee to stop the match. That stoppage came after Santana’s boyfriend Shimbashi, who had been ejected earlier, returned to interfere.
After weeks of ominous message and videos, HASTUR DIAZ emerged and dominated CACHORRO DE LEON in quick fashion. Hastur then annihilated a correspondent looking to speak to the newcomer after match.
Durden and MIKE DELL, whose partnership is now known as Tower and Charisma, picked up a second consecutive victory over KOOL DADDI DENZELL and RODZILLA from The Bad Boys of Wrestling.
