Durden Defends His Title in a Brutal Bar Fight

COLLEGE STATION, TX - The rematch between Lions Pride Sports Champion DRAKE DURDEN and “OUTLAW” J. AUSTIN proved to be as hard-hitting as the Texas bar fight stipulation foretold, and when it was all said and done at our Unbreakable event, the seven-foot title holder retained the belt.

The giant and the brawler brutalized each other with their strikes and kicks, but of course, the most noteworthy hits came with all sorts of items around and under the ring, including a trash can and Austin’s trademark cowbell. “Outlaw” even pulled the crutch from a fan, struck the man on his injured knee, then cracked the crutch over Durden.

The final blow, as it often is for Durden, was a chokeslam. However, Austin’s trip through a pair of chairs on the way down was the icing on Durden’s championship cake. What kind of condition will he be in heading into the next Lions Pride Sports event, Lights Out on August 14?

  • While MATHAYUS, KOOL DADDI DENZELL and SHIMBASHI showed the incredible athleticism molded at The Lions Den Training Facility, the treacherous trio known as The Trifecta were able to use their chaos-causing chemistry to pick up a win in six-man tag team action. MIKE DELL hit a Dellbow on Shimbashi as he had CADE CARSON locked in the Dragon’s Wings submission. The subsequent three-count gave the win to Dell, Carson and CHAVY CHULO.

  • MIA FRIDAY returned to the place where her first match took place 10 months earlier, Smitty K’s in College Station. She was attacked by VICTORIA MOSH prior to their match. The upstart out of the Metroplex brought it once the bell rang as well, but Friday fired up, hit her M.I.A. bulldog, then for the first time utilized a submission she’s calling The Weekend to force Mosh to tap.

  • THE MOUNTAIN was not moved enough by a game TOMMY BOLTON. “The Buzzard landed plenty of strikes, including a plethora of headbutts, but the 600-pounder proved too big and too much, and a massive slam spelled the end of their match. Respect was shown by each competitor, who had tagged together earlier in the year, following the match.
